Problem with Ants?
Question: How do you deal with anthills?
This questions comes up a lot. Here is the advice from Justin Green a greenskeeper in Warwick, Quebec.

For the ant problem I use Diazinon, I use a 10” nail or anything that will poke a decent sized hole. Poke a hole in the mound about 3 inches deep and fill it with Diazinon, then give the green a good whip, as Diazinon will burn the grass if it is too concentrated in one place. This will keep the little buggers form returning to the same hole, I have actually gotten rid of the ants completely a few times using this method. This works 100 times better than just using it on the surface.
